Annual Kickoff to Holiday Season in the Magic Valley to Take Place December 1


The 2023 edition of the Festival of Lights Parade is slated for Friday, December 1 in downtown Twin Falls. The holiday pageantry begins at 6 p.m., with various floats and other festive entrants taking part in the parade, including Santa Claus. This year’s parade theme is “A Magical Musical Holiday,” recognizing the joy and memories associated with holiday music. Immediately following the parade, the annual tree lighting ceremony will occur at the Twin Falls Downtown Commons, located directly across from City Hall.  

“It is our pleasure to collaborate with the Amplified Digital Agency/Times-News and other partners to bring this holiday celebration to life,” shared Nick Popplewell, Director of Marketing at First Federal Bank. “It is important to us to support opportunities that bring the community together, creating special occasions that everyone can enjoy and remember.”


The parade route starts at the intersection of Dierkes Street and Main Avenue, and will proceed down Main, ending at Jerome Street. Over 60 floats are anticipated in take part in this year’s parade.


Parade-goers are encouraged to visit downtown businesses and shops prior to the parade. In addition, First Federal Bank will be providing complimentary hot chocolate and cookies, while supplies last, beginning at 5 p.m. at the First Fed tent in the Downtown Commons. Several food vendors will also be at the Commons throughout the event including Road Runner Concessions, Creative Cravings, and Mini DohNuts!
