The First Federal Foundation is now accepting applications for its Winter 2026 grant cycle, continuing its commitment to supporting nonprofit organizations making a difference across Southern Idaho.
Applications will be accepted October 1 through November 20, 2026, with funding decisions made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors in December.
Established in 2003, the First Federal Foundation supports organizations and projects that enhance the wellbeing and quality of life of people throughout the communities First Federal Bank serves. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $1.5 million to organizations supporting educational, civic, health, human services, social and cultural needs.
Twice each year, the Foundation awards grants to qualifying nonprofit organizations, and supporting capital projects that provide lasting benefits to the communities they serve.
The impact of those grants can be seen in organizations such as the Meridian Library Foundation, which received funding from the First Federal Foundation in both 2024 and 2026.
“We are overjoyed to receive this support for our project and see its positive impact on our community,” said Eryn Turner of the Meridian Library Foundation.
During its Summer 2026 grant cycle, the First Federal Foundation awarded funding to 17 nonprofit organizations across Southern Idaho. Projects ranged from books and technology equipment to furniture, safety equipment, facility improvements and other resources helping organizations better serve their communities.
The Foundation encourages applications from qualifying organizations throughout Southern Idaho, including the Magic Valley, Treasure Valley and Mini-Cassia area.
Applications for the Winter 2026 grant cycle must be submitted by November 20, 2026.
