The First Federal Foundation has awarded its second round of grants for the year, distributing a total of $49,636.41 to 15 Idaho non-profit organizations. Coupled with the grants awarded earlier this year, a total of $99, 269.82 was provided in 2025 to support 31 different charitable initiatives. Funded grants will support a variety of capital projects designed to enhance services, strengthen operations, and expand each organization’s impact within their respective community.
During the most recent two-month application period—from October 1 through November 21—the Foundation received more than 100 grant requests, marking the highest number of applications in the Foundation’s history. Organizations that were not selected for funding will be reviewed by the First Federal Bank Marketing team for alternative opportunities to support and partner.
“What may appear to be a small grant on the surface often creates life-changing impact beneath it,” said Angela Wells, Customer and Community Engagement Manager. “By investing in capital projects, we’re helping local nonprofits strengthen their ability to serve, grow, and create meaningful change across our communities.”
The First Federal Foundation Board—comprised of First Federal employees and community members—carefully reviews each application, evaluating proposals based on their ability to positively impact the community and enhance overall quality of life. Eligible applicants must be an Idaho-based nonprofit operating within one of the Foundation’s focus support areas: education, civic, health, human services, social, or cultural initiatives. All grants awarded are for capital projects, ensuring a tangible and lasting outcome that improves each organization’s capability to fulfill its mission.
“Thank you for your support through the First Federal Foundation,” said Cooper Smith, Director of Everybody House in Twin Falls and a winter grant recipient. “Your partnership means a great deal to us and we are grateful to have you alongside us.”
