First Federal Bank Presents Casperson Family Christmas Lights 2025

One of the Magic Valley’s beloved holiday traditions is lighting up Twin Falls once again. The 2025 Casperson Family Christmas Lights display will officially debut on Thanksgiving night and brighten the community through New Year’s Day. Presented by First Federal Bank, the large-scale display stretches across First Federal Bank Park and the Sunway Soccer Complex at N 2700 E and North College Road. Visitors are invited to enjoy the show every evening from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., free of charge.

“We are excited for another year of the Casperson Lights and adding to the local holiday spirit,” shared Braxton Roquemore, Marketing Events and Community Specialist for First Federal Bank. “Personally, driving past the lights with my family—listening to my daughter point out every tiny detail—reminds me why we put in so much time and care. This is about creating memories that families and friends can share together.”

The holiday display traces its roots back to Max Casperson, who began decorating after 9/11 with a simple “God Bless America” sign on his barn. Each year, he expanded the display, eventually creating what was recognized by USA Today as one of the nation’s “Most Outrageous Christmas Lights.” After Max’s passing in 2022, First Federal Bank partnered with the Casperson family to ensure the legacy continued.

Preparation for the yearly tradition begins weeks before opening night. Volunteers, family members, First Federal employees, and local organizations spend countless hours setting up the hundreds of displays that make up the attraction.

“Casperson Lights is truly a community project,” mentioned Tereasa Nichols, Marketing Strategist for First Federal Bank. “We start in October, moving storage containers, organizing volunteers, and working with various partners like Electric One West and Lee Family Broadcasting to pull everything together. Most of the pieces were originally built by Max, and we try to refresh or add something new every year to keep the magic fresh and alive. This season, we added three new displays, and we can’t wait for families to discover them.”

Individuals who visit the display can either stay in their car and simply drive along North College Road or park and walk on the sidewalk that runs parallel to the display. As a reminder, all normal traffic laws are in effect. Additionally, pedestrians are reminded to stay on the sidewalk, watch for traffic, and avoid touching the various light structures and scenes.

First Federal Bank extends its sincere gratitude to the many partners who make the display possible including Brad Nichols, Lloyd Casperson, the City of Twin Falls, Lee Family Broadcasting, Electric One West, and Twin Falls County.
