Jake Tolman brings over 20 years of lending experience to First Federal, where he has spent his entire career serving Idaho communities. A proud Idaho native from Jerome, Jake earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Idaho State University and currently serves as VP and Mortgage Loan Professional. Over the years, he’s also held roles as Regional Lending Manager, Branch Lending Manager, and Branch Manager, building a reputation as a knowledgeable and dependable team player.

Jake has been recognized for his commitment to excellence and service, including being the first-ever recipient of the First Federal Difference Award in 2017 and earning the prestigious Rick Allen Award in 2018. He’s most proud of his long-standing relationships both professionally and personally. Celebrating 20 years with First Federal and nearly 30 years with his wife, Jake sees longevity as a reflection of his dedication to helping others succeed.

Deeply engaged in his community, Jake currently serves as Board Chair of the Meridian Library Foundation, is an Ambassador for the Meridian Chamber of Commerce, and is involved with the Idaho Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Snake River Valley Builders and Contractors Association, and the United Way Treasure Valley Vision Council. His past service includes coaching high school basketball, leading multiple nonprofit boards, and volunteering with local organizations like the Kimberly Lions Club and Ageless Senior Center.

Jake thrives on building lasting relationships with his customers—guiding them through the home loan process and supporting them well beyond closing. He finds the greatest reward in seeing clients return for repeat business or send referrals his way.

Outside the office, Jake enjoys working out, golfing, playing basketball, and watching college sports. He’s also a fan of concerts, Broadway plays, and local productions. What he values most about working at First Federal is its strong commitment to community. Jake strives to be more than a loan officer—he’s a resource, a teammate, and a partner for life.
